Mountain Tradition Herb Festival

Hyden, Kentucky    September 7-8 2001

If you have never been to an herb festival, this may show you what to expect.
Herb conferences are usually held in beautiful country settings. Herbalists give hands on demonstrations about
growing and using herbs, as well as wild herb walks. Settings are usually quite primitive.

I will probably always remember this trip,  the last weekend before the world changed forever.
 I most remember being horrified by the effects of the strip mines on this beautiful place.
