The juice of the Jewelweed plant is considered by many to be the best natural Poison ivy rash remedy there is. Jewelweed is found near creeks in shade, Eastern United States. It is usually large enough to pick by the first of June in Tennessee. Jewelweed can be harvested until frost, however the stems get very tough when the weather turns hot. The seeds of the plant give it the name "Touch me nots" because they burst open when touched or brushed up against.
