* As I've said elsewhere, I've been saddened by all of the hate filled emails I have received by those who disagree with my Spiritual path. People have asked what prompted me to write the item on Tolerance posted on the index page and elsewhere on the site. It was after years of receiving emails cursing me, telling me I was the Devil's Spawn (?) and such that finally there was a period of several months where I was receiving up to one dozen; minimum, emails a day with viruses attached.  Fortunately, I am not so stupid to open attachments without checking them out first (and after the first few I didn't even bother doing that). What I did find was 90% of them came from one church in North Carolina. Apparently some people don't realize that you can track email back to the sender for most emails. I wrote to them, first warning them that there were viruses attached to the emails they sent me (one must at first assume that it was an accident). This did not stop them. Then I kindly asked them to stop sending me emails; particularly with viruses attached. That didn't stop them. Then I gently told them it was illegal to send viruses in the email intentionally. That didn't stop them. Finally, I had to inform their server that they were intentionally sending me at least a dozen viruses infected emails a day and it had to stop. After a week or so it did.

To this day I'm not sure what they thought they were accomplishing. My computer is guarded by state of the art protection soft ware. I am not stupid but even if I was the software would protect me. Think of all the time they wasted that they could have been spending doing something more constructive to their own Spiritual Path. Such as work in a homeless shelter or help a local elderly person in their congregation.

Please, if you are the sort of person who does the above sort of thing to those that are different than you, and you've bothered to read this far, Please take that energy and time and do something nice for someone. Even if it's only someone in your own faith. At least it's something positive and kind.
